What an absolutely EPIC year 2011 has been. So much Rob brilliance – Rob in Sydney *grins* The precious memories are forever etched on my brain.  We are truly so so very lucky to be able to witness & enjoy the career of the special, talented & wonderful man that is Rob Pattinson. Thank you so much Rob for giving so much of yourself to us & for just being YOU!  As I have said many times before, I cannot put into words how happy it makes me to see Rob receiving the praise, success & recognition that he so truly deserves.  No one in the world deserves it more.  We love you Rob & cannot wait for all the brilliance that 2012 holds for you.

*raises glass* here’s to the EPIC year that is going to be 2012. Georges, Eric, farewell to Eddie plus all the other brilliance Rob has in store for us. *claps hands* oh how I cannot wait! Did you manage the time to listen to and appreciate Rob’s interviews during the BD promo this year? I know I didn’t. What a frenzy that was and in order to remedy such nonsense, I’ve been in absolute heaven making it up. During this journey, I compiled some snippets of classic golden Rob moments, where we can cherish his no filter zone and blissfully enjoy pure Rob and his generous gift that is humour. These clips are in no particular order and make up part one of a two or three part series. Oh yeah, there’s no way we could handle the entire load in one hit. Especially in light of the fact we need to make it to 2012 and meet Georges and Eric right.

Like I said back on 1 July – we all knew that 2011 was going to be epic for Rob, but I don’t think we ever envisaged how epic it would be for us. From the confirmation of Cosmopolis in January to Rob walking the red carpet in Sydney to finally having confirmation that Bel-Ami would be released in 2012.  This has been an awesome year for Rob and although we didn’t think it could be topped 2012 promises to be even bigger with the much anticipated Bel-Ami and Cosmopolis to be released and Edward being put to rest.  But before we can enjoy that, let’s have a look at how much effort Rob put into his career in 2011 because really that’s all that should matter …

Rob I’m so so grateful that I’m witnessing the rise and rise of your career … noone deserves the recognition more than you.

So as we start to say goodbye to 2011, I realise that this time next year we will have said goodbye to Edward.  As much as I like to say that I can’t wait for this saga to be over, I’m probably going to be a little sad to say goodbye to Eddie, until of course I meet Eric *giggles*.   Although the cafeteria scene below will always make my heart stutter

Twilight’s Robert Pattinson plays an unscrupulous journalist on the make in 19th century Paris in an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s novel directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod (from theatre company Cheek by Jowl.) Long before phone hacking and the Leveson Inquiry, the film shows that journalists were using the most devious means to get ahead.

Cosmopolis

A multi-millionaire young stockbroker heads across Manhattan in a limousine to have a haircut. It may not sound like much of a starting point for a film but David Cronenberg’s screen version of Don DeLillo’s novel promises to be a sleek and disturbing satire about narcissism and modernity. Robert Pattinson stars as the self-absorbed anti-hero.
