LOL @caro – that’s okay if I have to be honest we’ve been fangirling since they pushed the date forward – I kinda suspected it might be the case that there could be a premiere. Anyway won’t get ahead of ourselves yet – the way things change all the time, but it would be brilliant and if anyone can bring him here it’s gotta be 20thCenturyFox. I’ll just be really happy that it’s for a non-Twi movie – yeah I said it.

Oh…I don’t know ladies…if he is in London for May 3rd I can’t see him coming here just 3 days later…I would not want him to either, he would be so so tired…Better stay in the northern hemisphere this time and maybe we can hope that he comes out here for Cosmopolis premiere. What do you guys think?

I was thinking about how you hear about companies wanting it to be a “summer release” or whatever, and WFE is a Winter release for us, does that mean theyre expecting it to make less money? Is that why there would be the premiere, to boost it a bit?

You make sense Ephie and i have to agree I would rather he got a bit of rest before starting Cosmopolis, as much as want to see him come to Australia. I can be patient.

Don’t think that matters @caro – I suspect that’s an American thing – if that was the case they would never release any films around the same time – didn’t stop them for Twilight – it was winter release here for Eclipse.

@ephie – it’s only a 24 hour flight – I suspect he would have a private jet not commercial airline. He’s never been to Australia and personally I don’t think the production house for Cosmpolis has the same kind of funds as 20thCenturyFox – remember they aren’t just the Australian distributor – it is their film. Bringing Rob to Australia is not cheap – believe me – we spoke to his agents in 2009. I think if you are holding out for Cosmopolis – you might get disappointed.

Remember this may be our only chance for years to actually see him on a red carpet in Australia.

@maria – what you said about the budget that 20thCenturyFox has compared to the Cosmopolis production house makes a lot of sense. I just thought that a 24hr trip would be too much but then again promo tours are normally hectic for the actors.
Here’s hoping anyway if it’s the best chance we have of him coming to our shores. Never say never hey?

@lids I’m taking my husband with me to Sydney & leaving the kids with my patents. The second those dates are confirmed, I’m booking the flight. Don’t know what I’ll do about getting to the premiere, but just being in the same city as Rob, would be enough at this stage.
