Respecting Rob because actions speak louder than words.
What better way to end our Thursday here in Oz than with some Rob faves. Even though I have seen these beautiful pics too many times to count, Rob still takes my breath away each & every time.
hahaha – sorry but this song popped in my head for some reason on the way home and has inspired this short little post. Rob in all those cities for New Moon …
There are truly no words in existence to express how much I adore Rob’s performance as Dali in this beautiful film. Brilliant & breathtaking are the closest but honestly, no word has been invented that could ever do him & it justice. When trying to choose a fave scene, like Maria I really did struggle. I adore each & every single moment in this film – they are all beautiful, touching & so very special. After much thought I came to rest upon this scene where as we know, Dali paints Little Ashes. I chose this one for so so many reasons & it has always especially stood out to me. Even though the first part of the scene has no words, Rob’s body language, facial expressions & actions say it all. This is such a tender, beautiful & special moment between Dali & Lorca & everytime I watch this scene with that beautiful music that plays in the background, I feel exactly the same way – speechless, believe everything they say to each other & believe 100% in their feelings for each other. Rob & Javier are absolutely brilliant together. Dali & Lorca’s relationship is such a complicated, beautiful & heartbreaking one & they convey this all so perfectly. I could seriously go on forever & ever with my praise for Rob & the film & every single word is so thoroughly deserved. All who have had the privilege of seeing this film & experiencing Rob’s superb performance – you know exactly what I mean. To anyone who has not seen Little Ashes, I urge you to. It will take your breath away & without doubt – stay with you forever.
A breeze is stirring across the land … am dedicating this one to Mandy for her selfless contribution to Rob’s fandom.
Rob’s performance as Salvador Dali is honestly mesmerising from start to finish. It takes rare talent to deliver this kind of character development on screen in such a short amount of time.*beams*
Aah Little Ashes … a truly magical experience, so potent; this heart wrenching tale leaves me breathless with a warmed soul every time. I realised that trying to screen cap this beauty does not really capture the way I see or feel it.Each scene and moment is like a story unto itself. So full of life in it’s delivery, the music, the performance, the cinematography – I momentarily felt caps were not good enough. Thankfully though, Rob’s expressions manage to remedy that.So am hoping you enjoy this montage as much as I loved breaking it down from 700 and something. That was a bit of a heartbreaking in itself. Ok alot!
Oh Salvador Dali, with your olive coloured voice.
No order to this thing, just like there is no limit.
p.s. No wonder Salvador didn’t want to wear the blue.
I felt like seeing some Tyler this morning because he always seems to put me in a better mood. I’m sad to say that one of our elite affies RPLife is closing its blog (click on link if you want to know why) and really this first pic of Tyler kind of expresses the mood I feel at the moment. This truly is a sad day and unfortunately its a reflection of why this world just can’t freakin get on. Rob is not owned by any of us -we don’t love him more or less regardless of what we blog. We just love him and really everything else should just be left at the door. Mandy we wish you all the best and hopefully this is just a temporary hiatus! Thanks for everything over the years.
Okay I may have just come home from having dinner with friends and perhaps a little too much wine and so – here’s a pic I just needed to post. Croptastic – right?

And there are so so many of those in this beautiful film. No words I could use are strong enough to describe the feelings & emotions I experience when I watch these moments – they truly take my breath away. I will leave my commentary there & let you all enjoy the brilliance that is Rob as Salvador Dali.
Like he was ever going to lose after wearing that Gucci suit. According to Glamour UK:
“His Style: Tartan lumberjack shirts and jeans when out and about, drool-inducing tailored suits and skinny ties when on the red carpet. Robert Pattinson is certainly the crush of the moment but now he can now add Britain’s Most Stylish Man to his long list of accolades.” (Glamour “crush of the moment” really? I thought moment meant a brief period of time – well this “crush” has been going on for much much longer than that! Just saying …)
Oh and can I just say whilst I was over at Glamour UK I saw this heading “Ed Westwick I Get Mistaken For Robert Pattinson” – really Ed – are you trying to be a comedian now? I’d like to know what alternate universe you are living in? Hang on – let’s just compare .. oh yeah I can see the resemblance NOT! In fact Ed I’ll have to admit I never even knew you were English, but I see you’ve jumped on the “if I pimp Rob’s name I will get more notice bandwagon”. Good luck with that – apparently it’s been working for Christina Ricci.
Well I was inspired by our Golden Years theme to provide these “up close” pics of Rob as Dali – I figured they are more “Dalicious” than “cropalicious” - don’t you agree? Thanks to our lovely friend Paul Brennan for giving us the original HQs of these pics.
