Well I’ve just seen Remember Me for the second time and yes I’ve taken off my rose coloured glasses and guess what - Rob’s performance is still absa-freakin-lutely brilliant! Anyway, my reason for this post is to purely find out:
* have you seen it?
* are you going to see it and if so, how many times?
*if you aren’t going to see it - why not?
Don’t worry if you think I’m going to berate you if you aren’t going to see it - I’m not - unless of course you give me some inane reason - then you might just have to risk it. I’m just curious since there were 4 people in the session before me and 1 other person in mine - yes it was like a private screening. I understand there are loads of cinemas screening it, but why why weren’t there more people there. I overheard the other person as she was leaving telling someone on the phone that she had just seen it and in response to their obvious question of what it was like - she said ”it was awesome”. Now I don’t think she was a diehard Rob fan since I’m pretty sure she referred to him as Rob Patterson and then when the other person had no idea who that was *shudders* she said - you know the guy from Twilight *shudders again*. I understand the campaign that has been launched in the States about Remember Me Saturday and I was berated about a week ago that we weren’t doing enough on the site to promote this, but clearly you are all Rob fans on here and I know you will do your bit - right? I kind of felt it a little insulting to Rob that we were pre-empting that this film might fail. I don’t think anyone can really say that Michelle and I don’t promote Rob’s career - it’s not like we talk about much else. So, if you aren’t a fan of Rob why would you even be visiting our site? Anyway I wasn’t sure what she wanted me to do other than stand on a street corner with a sandwich board hauling people in, but I didn’t think that was really an option. No wait - it’s not an option.
So I’m just curious now on what people are thinking. I understand and I really don’t expect this film to have an opening weekend like New Moon (AUD16m) and to be honest neither is anyone associated with the film, but it would be great to see it get the recognition it deserves because I know I harp on about Rob, but the entire cast and crew need to be applauded for this movie. To quote the girl at the Ritz today “it IS awesome”. Oh and if you are going to comment please please don’t include any spoilers - our UK followers and some US followers still haven’t seen the film. Let’s be fair to them - please.

Saw on the 11th and LOVED it! I went with a workmate. I can echo your statements about the cinema - where the fuck was everyone?? We had 3 other people in the cinema and we joked about them having the hotts for Pierce Brosnan coz they had the whole blue rinse and zimmer frame thing going.
I will definetely be seeing it again and buying the DVD. Yes Rob induces Niagara Knickers for us in this movie, but more than that: the story, the acting, the actors, what a fucking great flick! Its def a film families, hubbies and grannies can see too.
I’m pissy at people who say it’s exploitative - it’s NOT. Remember Me HONOURS the subject. And it was an honour to see Rob at his finest so far. Proud of ya Rob!
Lids says:
I’ve ssen it last night, once so far.
It’s an awesome film and left me breathless and speachless. I left the cinemas and while driving home my emotions were running pretty high. This morning when I woke up, I still was thinking about it. T
I was expecting a good movie but Remember Me actualy exceeded all my expectations.
I recommend everyone see RM, and will for sure see it more times and also get the DVD.
My verdict: 10/10 - and that’s not being biased.
Sonya says:
Hi @Maria. As you probably already know I went on Wednesday with my hubby and sister. I would love to go again but it’s a little hard for me hubby works 7 days and I have a little boy (2 year old). The other thing is we only have 1 car which hubby takes to work and financially it’s difficult at the moment with a huge mortgage and the rest that comes with it and only 1 1/2 wages to cover it. So I can’t have everything I want. It sucks I know. i think for me it’s always better when I watch it the second time around but I will have to wait. I can’t understand why people are not going to see it. It’s a beautiful film. Rob is outstanding in this role. The relationship between Ruby and him is my favorite. He brings so many different things in this movie. People are missing out. What’s wrong with Australians. Were are all the twi fans u would think they would be lining up to see him. Come on Rob fan go and support him you won’t be disappointed it’s a great movie. After all it’s Rob.
Willow says:
I’ve seen RM once so far but intend to see it lots more at the cinema - Tuesday night neighbour as a girls date night, then again with my sister, then with my son. Need I say I shall go alone too and buy the dvd of course.
At the screening we went to Thursday there were about a dozen there. I too found it very strange that there weren’t loads of people there. From what I could tell from the reactions of those who were there, they were very into it because of the ‘noises’ I could hear from them as the movie drew to its conclusion.
I loved RM. Rob was wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the cast too. I admit I too am wondering where all the ’screaming’ Rob fans who dog his every move are right now. All I can say is they are missing out on a film that moved me to my soul.
Michelle says:
I just cannot understand, cannot even begin to comprehend why there aren’t more people attending the screenings of RM. It just makes no sense to me whatsoever - leaves me speechless. This movie is brilliant, Rob is brilliant, the whole cast & crew have done an amazing job with this film & no I am not biased, I am just stating the true facts. I really look forward to hearing from you all & if there are any people that are thinking of giving this film a miss, I’d really like to know your reasons. Please do share with us. I have unfortunately only been able to see the film once due to my cinema not having the brains to screen it (clearly absolute morons) Believe me if the nearest cinema to me was closer than 2 hours away I would be there every chance I could. I will however be making the trip again in the next couple of weeks because I cannot bare to only see this amazing film once on the big screen & of course want to do my part as a true Rob fan to support him. Everyone NEEDS to see this film, believe me you will never ever ever regret it. I have truly never been so moved by a film in my life ever - cannot put into words how much this story moved me. Rob deserves every single bit of our support - stating the obvious I know but sometimes the obvious needs to be said.

in 3 hours……
Michelle says:
So exciting Sare - you will LOVE it
Lids says:
My fried and I saw the movie, there was 6 other people there, 2 older couples and 1 girl in her 20’s and one guy in his 30’s
I think why a lot of the Twi fans are not seing the movie, is because they are not fans of Rob, they are fans of Edward. Also other people are not seing the movie, because they are associating Rob with Edward, and think that the movie is not worth seing.
Adding to that is the fact that the movie was not promoted as a big blockbuster (which it’s not), but if you’re not a Rob fan you probably wouldn’t know about it.
I was blown away by the movie, that’s all I have to say - for now
Sare says:
but Im going to be pre-emptive i give it a 10/10. Can not wait!!!! Oh and i got a friend to come along too. Another one who will be converted Im sure
Lids says:
Oh Sare, I can’t believe it, did we change grav’s at the same time again?
Do you know I was actualy actualy thinking to use the one you did?
Lucky I didn’t, we must have the same taste hahaha.
You’ll love the movie, enjoy!!!
Maria says:
The so-called twifans are called that for a reason because a true Rob appreciator never calls themselves a Twifan. You see what a twi fan is in love with is a fictitious character called Edward Cullen and NOT a real life man called Robert Pattinson. There I said it - wait I think I have been saying it for a very long time. Of course there is always a bonus to the twifans not supporting him and that is that you can actually appreciate his movies without the squealing that happens whenever he’s on screen. OMG imagine if that was to happen during RM - you would hear no dialogue whatsoever which is pivotal to this film. I’m happy to say no “twifans” at either of the screenings I went to. What infuriates me though is that the media for some reason seem to think that Rob’s success is solely based on these people. Well media - guess what - Rob Pattinson actually has Rob Pattinson fans and now I’m going to have to put on my thinking cap of how we are going to get this out there. There is no need to preach to the converted. We all know that we should take friends and family who aren’t “educated in the talents of Rob” - I know my sister and nieces are roped in for next Saturday. Hmm all of a sudden that sandwich board is looking like an option.
Oh and for the people who have responded so far - thanks very much - it is appreciated - see I can be nice
Sare says:
haha thanks @Lids Im pretty sure I’ll enjoy it.
If your taste is rob, then yes we do have the same taste LOL!
Maria says:
@Sare - after you’ve seen it can you come on and let us know what you thought and more importantly what the “new convert” thinks? I want to keep this thread open for active discussion. Oh I actually saw it with two friends of mine on Wednesday night who are not Rob fans. Well actually that’s kind of a lie because one of them came to the Little Ashes screening that we were involved in and totally loved him in that role - hence why she was a willing participant in Remember Me. She emailed me the next day and said she couldn’t stop thinking about the film and that she had told everyone she worked with that they must see it. See this is what we need to do - to have a silent but steady Rob Pattinson Movement. I think slow and steady wins the race. No point harping on because after all we don’t want people to confuse us with “twifans”.
lise-lou says:
Well will try and keep this short but am on such a high and as always I have so much to say!
I have seen it twice and am going again tomorrow (cos I am greedy like that!). The Thursday morning screening had 12 people but that’s often norm for morning movie sessions. Last night there was 50 so a little better. The reason behind the low numbers is the complete lack of promotion. I have seen absolutely nothing outside of the web promoting this film no TV trailers, no reviews and not one single poster at Hoyts cineams promoting it! I have taken 4 friends to see it (one of them came twice bless her) but the only reason they knew of it was because I haven’t shut up about it! I also think the trailers don’t give a very good respresentation of the film as there is certainly a whole lot more going on that what they have portrayed. It really is a movie that has you thinking about long after you have seen it and will have an impact on your life.
I absolutely adore this movie and Rob is just incredible in it as are Pierce, Ruby, Chris, Emilie and Tate who just cracks me up so much as Aiden.
I know I am biased when it comes to Rob but he really is amazing and I seriously didn’t think I could love and admire him anymore than I do but his performance in the this has just blown me away!
My friends however…..well lets just say that 3 of them have NO taste whatsoever and I am considering removing them from my Christmas card list!
Love the script, the the story, love the cast and LOVE Rob
lise-lou says:
And BTW that was the short version! LOL
Maria says:
LOL @LL I think you might need a social cleansing - except for the one who came twice - we like her - she can stay! I agree the promotion has been lacking. I’m trying to figure out why that is - Hoyts Distribution can’t be blamed - I mean they gave us the free tix to give away on the site - so it’s really down to the individual cinemas. Unfortunatley for me - I know all about this because it took over 12 months to get anybody to screen Little Ashes. Seriously pounded the streets with that and at first even the distributor wasn’t interested. So what’s with you Australians? Do you not want the revenue of people coming in to your cinemas? We were told by the person who berated us that she had a friend of a friend of a friend who worked at a BC&C who didn’t believe there would be any interest in the film. I tended not to believe it and I still don’t. There is definitely interest - it’s just that they are lazy and probably figure that they will make their revenue through Hurt Locker and Alice in Wonderland. Ooh there I think I’ve hit the nail on the head. No need to promote this film - we’ll be doing okay with the Academy Award nominated films. Will just stick this one in the corner for the diehard twi fans. Hmm maybe that’s it. Lack of interest on the part of the cinemas NOT the fans.
Sonya says:
My hubby and sister came with me on Wednesday night and hubby really enjoyed the movie and was very impressed with Robs acting abilities. MY sister on the other hand… all I’m going to say is she said it was okay but she did say that Robs acting was brilliant compared to his acting in the Twilight Saga. She is a Twifan I’m afraid. I mean she doesn’t follow Rob or anything but she love the Twilight Saga. I am the one who is always telling her about Rob this and Rob that. She just rolls her eyes when I’m forever talking about him.
Maria says:
Thanks @Sonya - see further evidence that Twifans does not equate to Rob fan. Oh and I think you get to keep her as a sister only because she acknowledged that Rob’s acting was brilliant. Haha - no social cleansing required.
Terri Howard says:
just.got.home.
it was…

I was…
*exhale*
Maria says:
See Terri - we weren’t exaggerating and we are definitely not one-eyed.
Robbie says:
I can’t believe people are not going! I’ve been scouring closer cinemas (ie: maybe an hour’s drive away) so I can get to see it AT ALL and if we finally get it, I know I will be there again and again and again (*sigh*). Maria, so well said. This is the chance to show those damn doubters how good Rob really is by supporting him. That tall poppy syndrome is NOT going to get him. If half the so-called celebrities had half of his self deprecating charm…..his family must be so proud of how he conducts himself; I know I am!
Maria says:
Oh well said @Robbie well said. Yes if they had half his charm I might actually bother to go see someone elses films. Well @Vertigo just sent me a text since she’s seeing it again and guess what - 5 people in her session *throws hands up in the air*. I’m curious to see what it takes over the weekend both here and in the US.
Michelle says:
Exactly Robbie - so well said. My cinema is not screening it either so I had to travel 2 hours on Thurs to go to the next closest cinema, not good enough Launceston Village - just not. The excuse my cinema is giving is - oh the reason why we aren’t screening the film in your city is because you are such a small theatre. Hmmm really, well how come it is screening in a city that has 40+ thousand less people in it than mine. Explain that to me! Gee I don’t know what’s wrong with these people. Hope you get to see this amazing film soon Robbie. If my cinema ever grows a brain & decides to screen it I will be there every single spare chance I get.
5 people *shakes head* just *shakes head*
Terri Howard says:
def no exaggerating nor one-eyed monsters here ‘t all!
I was sooo stoked going into the theater I was hyperventilating and had to dump my bag of popcorn so I could breathe into it!
I am still weepy…on overload between NM dvd and RM all month long!
and heading back tomorrow for a matinee show (sshhhhh, I am supposed to be marketing!)
Belinda says:
Hi, Long time watcher-first time contributor. I saw RM on thursday and there was about 20 people. I loved the film and RP was absolutely stunning-acting and looks!!!
I can’t understand why there wasn’t more but I am happy that there wasn’t the screaming imbiciles like in NM.
I LOVE all that RP has been in, as it was the Twilight Series that really brought him to my attention. I have to say Little Ashes was SUPERB.
I would love anything he is in because of his sheer presence-in all senses of the word.
Hopefully word of mouth will give RM the recognition it so rightly deserves. I hope to go again and again. My husband is seriously worried. LOL!! Well I just want to say I love this site and girls you do a fantastic job and I love that you respect his privacy and only show red carpet, promo stuff. BIG TICK!!!
Sonya says:
How do we find out how well the movie went on opening day?
tessANZ says:
Hi Robsisters!
aw, agree that it is a bit disappointing that the movie was not as well promoted as i had thought it would be…i have ranted on earlier about this so will not repeat myself…suffice to say that, having been to 4 different cinemas to see it now, you could miss the movie altogether if you were looking for posters of it. only one of the cinemas had more than 2 posters and they were not in the most prominent spots either!! mostly promoting Alice and upcoming movies like Iron Man and Hurt Locker etc.
anyways, i have now seen the movie 6 times and these were the numbers:
1) First session on Thursday 11th March in Auckland @ 10.45 am with about 15 people + ME
2) Second session @ 1.10 pm with 5 retired elderly people + ME (I spoke with them, they were there because of the timing and thought it was a “lovely” movie and will tell their friends
3) Evening session @ 8.30 pm with about 50 people + ME
4) Friday 12th March, session at 1 pm with aobut 60 people + ME
5) Night session still on Friday with about 75 people
6)Saturday 13th March @ 3.50 session with about 100 people + my hubby + ME
7) going to the last session tonight!
i am a professional so can keep my own hours and negotiate around lectures and clients.
essentially. all my friends who love me have offered to shout me a session and come see it with me. i spread them out…all my friends who think me crazy give me movie vouchers so i can indulge.
On the big screen, i have seen Twilight more than 100 times, New Moon about 70 times and i definitely think Remember Me will break all those tallies!!
Most of the staff at the cinemas know me now and know my obsession. some of the staff even give me their staff tickets!! i got Twilight and New Moon badges from staff as well!! so, cannot complain!
love you all but have to go now to see Robert, my big screen boyfriend!! **Coughcough**!!as.if!!
Oh, and don’t waste a moment telling me i am crazy or whatever…i already know and i do not care!
ciao bella and <3 you all!
Ves says:
I saw it on Thursday night with my husband - it was awesome. I adore Rob. Wasn’t my husband’s type of flick, but he liked it…well he said it didn’t suck, but that is a massive compliment from him considering he likes stuff like V for Vendetta and The Hurt Locker. Will see it again for sure!
Sonya says:
By the way @Maria I’m so excited I just got told by my hubby that the friend that was suppose to give me the 4 Rob movies is coming thru with the goods tomorrow. I can’t wait. My laptop and I are going to be having an affair with Rob tomorrow night. But will stay logged on and pop over to the site when each one finishes to make sure I haven’t missed out on anything. I probably will be watching them all night. Yipeee. I’ve been waiting so long to get them.
Maria says:
That’s great @Sonya but to get full Rob experience you should watch them in the order I said in my email. Then you can really see how he’s grown as an actor. Little Ashes is amazing - I have a soft spot for that film.
Maria says:
@tessANZ yes you get the award for most obsessed but hey thanks for keeping us in the loop and especially thanks for no spoilers seeing as you should know the dialogue word by word now. Am a little jealous
So anyone going or been to a session tonite (depending on when you read this) - let us know how the numbers pan out in Syd, Melb, Adel, Perth, BrisVegas, Darwin, Hobart - we already know it’s not in Launceston - boo hiss
Sonya says:
Thanks @Maria you’re pretty amazing yourself (even u Michelle haven’t forgotten u) u girls do a great job here. It’s the best site. Best pics, best everything. Thanks for all the info and advice as well. Can I ask why u have a soft spot for LA.
Maria says:
Hi Belinda - thanks for the kind words and also the input. And yes well we have no issue with Twilight introducing fans to Rob, it’s the crazies that refuse to understand that he is not Eddie - hahaha. I have to agree with you - it’s so good sitting through his movies without the screaming imbeciles. I am seriously still scarred from the midnight session of New Moon at the Ritz. I won’t ever go see another Twi midnite session again. Not only did hey talk throughout the entire Twilight film (I didn’t care that I’d seen it over 7 times at cinema - I still wanted to appreciate him again), but the sceaming over Eddie and TayTay in New Moon - it’s just plain insanity. I spent the entire time saying to them “They can’t hear you!!!!” Haha - there off my chest yet again
Maria says:
LOL @Terri - you are marketing - just that it’s Remember Me!
Maria says:
@Ves - very brave of you to take husband - actually all of you are very brave, but clearly they now must understand the appeal although they won’t admit it.
Ves says:
Oops sorry forgot to mention there were only about a dozen people in the cinema and it was a 6.40pm session time…so might be too early for some if they are working. I’ve just gone to Amazon to order the Remember me soundtrack, will buy the DVD when it’s out. He is gorgeous and I’m a 35 y.o. mum of a 3 year old!
Maria says:
@Sonya - it was the only film of Rob’s I hadn’t seen. Cilla, who was original site owner, actually got to see it at the Rainbow Festival in London in 2008 and she just raved about Rob’s performance. I finally saw it in June 09 (I think -maybe a little earlier) and his performance as Dali just left me stunned. I had read so much about it by then I knew how much effort he had put into that role - it really was a taste of what was to come and has now definitely arrived. I can’t tell you how much effort was put into getting the limited release screenings here in Oz and I almost cried when Kojo Pictures agreed for me to help them get cinemas on board - hence why that film of Rob’s has a very special place in my heart. Actually I think I may have cried for real - tears of joy tears of joy.
Maria says:
@Ves - age is just a number here at RPAU and there is no law that says you have to be a certain age to appreciate talent and beauty! It’s just that we are less fickle and will be here for the long haul - no Zefron for me - hahahaha. As for the DVD - as soon as we know it’s being released or should I say you can pre-order we will let you all know. One thing for sure - Rob’s on the commentary - woot woot!
Temajin says:
Going to see it in about 1 hour, have used my powers of pursuasion to get hubby and daughter to go along with me…mostly it was the promise of choc tops and popcorn with a side order of maccas on the way home that did it, i’ll have a McTyler burger with a side order of Rob thanks, no pickle…
btw, hope everyone is great, Love Sam
Michelle says:
So jealous @tessANZ, so jealous
So great you have got to see the film 6 times. You’ve done a great job with the stats, much appreciated. Boo hiss indeed Maria, I always knew Launceston sucked & now I am sure of it lol.
Michelle says:
Hi Ves
Yep as Maria said, age is just a number here, nothing more. I often get told that I am ‘too old’ to be co-running a fan site, you can imagine my response to them. Haha- they never say it to me again. We are most definitely here for the long haul that is for sure, staying right here. The DVD *sigh* oh how I cannot wait for the day when we can post the pre-order details. Rob on the commentary - wooo hooooo!!
Maria says:
LOL @Michelle - tell those morons that this is a business venture not a fansite. Hahaha - just because we make no money from it doesn’t mean we aren’t enriched in some other way
Lordy if you are too old imagine what they would say to me.
Tracey says:
I went to see it here in Perth last Thurs opening session. There was only about a dozen or so people there, but I put that down to the time (11am). I went on my own, cause that’s the way I like it. I was expecting tears and prefer to be in my own bubble when that happens. To only say that this movie had a profound effect on me is an understatement. Despite trying to seek out a copy of the script months ago (unsuccessfully I might add), I did see an interview that alluded to the surprise ending, so I had my suspicions on what might happen. (spoilers don’t bother me - I like to be prepared) But was completely unprepared for how much of an impact it would have on me. So sensitively handled, but very, very powerful.
I was trying to tell my girlfriend about it the next day, and couldn’t stop myself from tearing up again.
I’ll be returning to see it again - again during school hours, so I don’t expect to see a ton of people at any any screening I attend. I’ll also be adding it to my own dvd library once its released.
I admit I obsess over the Twilight series, but do consider myself a true Rob fan rather than a Twihard. He initially cought my attention in GOF but I’ve adored him as all his characters. I’m yet to see Little Ashes, but only ’cause it’s never been screened here in WA. Another dvd for my collection when I can get my hands oo it.
RM was never going to be competing for the blockbuster audiences, I don’t think that was ever the intention. But I do think that it will be exposed to a greater audience because of Rob’s involvement and I’m sure it will be appreciated as a well acted, sensitively portrayed story, by those with a genuine interest in his talent.
Ves says:
@Michelle - OMG - I never understood the appeal of Zac Effron either…My hubby is very understanding…He’s from a an american background and he thought Rob’s NY accent in Remember Me was spot-on…didn’t think much of Pierce’s accent - I’m sure by the time Water for elephants comes round, he’ll be fully convinced of Rob’s talents!
I don’t think I’m a cougar..but my hubby is 31 next month..and in my day it was always called a cradle snatcher …what can i say I’m a sucker for tall lean baby-faced men.*LoL*…I’ve always looked about 5 years younger so it’s not been that big a problem
Maria says:
Haha @Ves it was me that said Zefron. Yep I agree Rob’s NY accent spot on - Charles was originally from Brooklyn - they hinted at that when his secretary bought his coffee in the diner - ask your husband if that was more like a Brooklyn accent.
Debbie says:
Hope the cinemas are packed in UK..doesn’t come out til Apr 2
I haven;t seen any posters yet - but it still might be too early?
Maria says:
@Debbie I haven’t seen any posters yet either - oh wait sorry I saw one in the cinema today, but a friend of mine said they were on bustops in the city on Thursday (sydney), but I’m yet to see it, but they are pushing Dear John for some reason. Maybe they figure Rob has enough fans that they don’t need to promote because we will all go and see it. Who knows.
Caitlin says:
one word…
stunning.
my favourite movie of his so far. this movie was written for him. perfect. him and ruby are adorable.
vertigo says:
I will go back and read all your comments in a bit - meanwhile I just wanted to pop my head in and give up the scoop, now that I’ve come back from my 2nd date with Tyler. Not rubbing it in if anyone hasn’t had the opportunity, but I feel compelled to tell you about someone’s reaction. The person I went with today has been teasing me about Rob since day one – and without too much info, teasing Rob. She is clearly not a fan but has endured my persistence like a trooper.
Without dishing out spoilers, I’ll skip straight to our exit from the cinema, which took a while since she was trying to compose herself to return to the public eye. Yes, she was completely floored by the whole package. When we finally got home and she found her voice again, I asked what she thought about the movie and in shortening her response, boiled down to “very good, really well done”. Then I pushed on to ask about Rob’s performance - she said “he really does deserve an Oscar, he was amazing, I had no idea”. She believed!
Maria says:
@Vertigo - THIS is what the world needs to see. He really does deserve something for this role and it’s good to hear it from non-believers of Rob. I got goosebumps reading this. So proud of him - so so proud.
Maria says:
@Tracey - I tried depserately to get Little Ashes screened in Perth - they wouldn’t even respond to Kojo Pictures the distributors., let alone me. I’m happy to tell you that the DVD is being released in about a month, maybe less. I’ll do a post closer to release date because it’s elluding me at the moment. As for the RM script - it actually came out around this time last year but was pulled very quickly so am not surprised you couldn’t find it. If you are interested in scripts - did you read my Water For Elephants post yesterday? Scriptshadow had a little present for all of you if you were quick enough - not sure if it’s still there.
Tracey says:
Thanks Maria - yes I did see that post (check in with you daily for some delicious jawporn-fix). I’ve bookmarked it for future reference.
Looking forward to adding LA to my personal Rob-library. In the mean time, I always have some Daniel / Toby / Art / Cederic to keep me company…not to mention Edward.
Jo says:
Aaahhh!!!! It’s not out in this country for another 3 WEEKS! You guys are driving me crazy!!! LOL!
Michelle says:
It is just so wonderful to hear these amazing comments & from a non Rob fan. This is definitely exactly what everyone needs to see. Those words Vertigo are so so true, Rob really does deserve an award for his brilliant performance in this film - truly he does. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I too am so so proud of Rob, just so proud. Is just so wonderful to see him receiving the praise & recognition he so so truly deserves. So glad you got to have a 2nd date with Tyler Vertigo
Debora says:
@Maria&Michelle - I’m completely agree: “age” is just a number! I’m 39 years old and I’m HERE, for ALL of you, for me, and, of course, for ROB! Ciao!
Ps…I can’t wait to see RM!!
Pps..Sorry for my italian-english!
Maria says:
LOL @Jo - imagine how hard it is for us to actually stop from making comments about specific scenes, but in fairness to all who haven’t seen it - we don’t want to take away from the experience of enjoying it for the first time. In all honesty, even with the trailers and the amount of pictures that were posted by us and all the other Rob sites, it’s impossible to think you have already seen it. But after you’ve seen it I’d love to hear what you think. 3 weeks isn’t that long - well it is - so I’m guessing you are from UK.
Sare says:
Ok just got back from my first screening. I’m speechless. I was absolutely floored by this movie. Its honest and has heart unlike most of the movies that they pump out of hollywood.
Its so refreshing to see a story of substance and not your typical romance bulls**t. I can certainly understand why rob can’t put it into a definate genre.
Robs performance was phenomenal. Stunning. He is an extremely talented man. Tyler is an exceptionally troubled character and within the first 20 mins i saw this, albeit thanks to robs ability.
I absolutely adored the relationship between tyler and caroline. And i have to say Chris Cooper was amazing.
Theres was about 30 people in the cinema. The promotional push in the cinema was disgusting. One picture (and it wasn’t even a big one) thats all. I think people believe its your typical romance/drama movie as that what the trailer pushes but it is anything but (I wouldnt even call it a romance.)
My friend LOVED it. Don’t know if shes a rob convert, but she said it was amazing.
I cringed though when she asked ‘is this the movie with the guy from twilight in it?’. I forgave her though as she said after it how amazing it was.
Pfft. Edward who? Its all Tyler baby!!!
vertigo says:
That’s exactly how I felt too M&M, so so proud.
btw, after I sent my text, a few more rolled in - I think the final turnout was about 12 people (3 of those were us). No Twifans this time.
Maria says:
Thanks @Sare. It seems to be everyone’s reaction to the film - whether they are fanatical like us or just dragged, I mean accompanying us to the cinema. I’ve just tweeted Jackie O to see if they will help promote. She’s a huge Rob fan so hopefully they will. We just need to get the word out there. The film for me is very gritty - like the 70s as Rob said in an interview - I see why he compares it to Ordinary People and Terms of Endearment. I love how much he believed not only in this script but the film and it shows through in this performance.
vertigo says:
I’m taking as many friends and family as I can to see this movie over the next few weeks. I know I said it before, but it really has made me feel richer for having seen it.
An experience so profound, it will stay with me forever, like fingerprints on my soul.
vertigo says:
hahaha Sare! WOOO HOOO!!
*dances*
I believe in Tyler!
Sare says:
@vertigo its definately a film that walks away with you. Gahh I can’t even begin to explain how much its affected me.
vertigo says:
Fingers crossed Maria and that’s an awesome idea!
Michelle says:
Me too Vertigo. I feel as though the film has altered me, truly I do. A film has never had such a powerful effect on me ever before - never. This story will stay with me forever.
So glad you have experienced the brilliance that is Rob & RM Sare
Thanks for sharing your review with us. I knew you would feel exactly the same way we do about the film. Speechless was exactly how I felt after I came out of the cinema - just totally speechless & breathless. Truly cannot put into words how much I love this film.
Fingers crossed Maria re: Jacki O.
Temajin says:
Ladies, i’ve just come home from seeing RM and I was moved, this was a truely great film, Robert Pattinson or not, this is a must see film, even my 10 yr old daughter was in tears (hubby piked it went a saw Green Zone - his loss)Robert was real and his character was beleivable. I actually went in not knowing a great deal about the story, I knew bits and pieces but the gravity of it all is what has left me feeling the way I do. I will not say anything because I would hate to spoil it for anyone, but if for some reason you haven’t seen it, see it soon and hopefully you will come out as altered as I am. Love you all, Sam.
Temajin says:
Ah, just want to clarify, I haven’t read anyone elses post until after I’ve just posted mine, and I can see that i’m not the only one who this film has had an effect on.
Jo says:
Yes Maria, I’m in the UK. We have the London premier of RM to look forward to on the 18th I think, but the wait for the actual film is a killer!
You guys have the best Rob website in the world by the way, which is why I drop by every day to see whats new. Ok, several times a day, Ok, so about every hour, but who’s counting!?
Maria says:
Hahaha - thanks @Jo - tell me is Rob appearing at the premiere because at first there were a few sites who said he was - but then nothing else has been confirmed. I imagine he will be there seeing as he’s in London.
Sare says:
New grav. In honour of Tyler
Maria says:
@Sam it seems to be the general consensus and his performance is beyond expectations.
irene says:
Went to see RM yesterday, took my grand daughter and friend. we all loved it. Rob was amazing as was the entire cast. What a story line. Had us in tears, laughter every emotion from a to z. Yesterday was opening day here. Don’t know how its doing yet but not many people there either. I am wondering “where are all the fans????” too. This is an awesome film!!! I’ve seen Little Ashes, How to Be, The Haunted Airman and I’m a RP fan. Love his work and he’s only getting better and better. I may be a grandmother but I know a good actor. Looks, humility. sensitivity, charm, creative musician ,actor and so much more. Whats not to love???? GO SEE THIS FILM you won’t be disappointed!!!! And all you fans here in the USA Where are you?
Maria says:
Haha @Sare - I’ve got a new grav too because all this non promotion has left me a little bothered *shakes fist at WP* because it’s actually a gif of Rob shaking his head.
Temajin says:
So Maria, are you saying that you’re…..Bothered??
Maria says:
Hey @Irene - thanks so much for responding. I think you might be one of the first from the US to give us their account of non-fans. It’s so weird, but I’m convinced that the fans are genuinely in love with Edward Cullen and not Rob. Their loss since you have described Rob perfectly and exactly what’s not to love - if only there were more like him in this world.
Ves says:
@Maria: Sorry for the mixup re Zeffron …and @Vertigo: I managed to get my hands on the Memoirs (AKA Remember Me) script the other day…*embarrassed* but I read a review and they mentioned the twist and I couldn’t help myself…Iuv that sort of stuff
anyway, I bawled my eyes out…it really touched me…I can’t believe that some .of the critics are paying out on the script..it was well written and the final product on screen was epic..(obviously)
Anyway, your site rocks and like @Jo: I too visit multiple times each and everyday to get my Rob fix.
Maria says:
Yes @Sam - I’m bothered. I’m bothered that all the twifans go nuts over the freakin Eclipse trailer and yet there is this amazing film out there that Rob has poured his heart and soul into and there just doesn’t seem the support for him. But they are happy to line the streets and scream at him. So yes “I’m Bothered”.
Temajin says:
We didn’t even have the Eclipse trailer at our showing, and after seeing this film the only thing the Twifans should be saying is “Edward who?”
Maria says:
@Sam I’m going to say this here, but it’s not directed at you. I said it weeks ago everyone - i’m not sure why Australia thought they were getting the Eclipse trailer - it’s not released here yet. It was for the US release of Remember Me - it was never said to be a worldwide release of the Eclipse trailer. You have to all pay attention more closely. When they say worldwide release then we are included when they just talk release they are referring to the US.
Lids says:
Well, it looks like we all agree
speechless
breathless
floored
blown away etc,etc, etc
This film needs to be recognised somehow, but how do we do it???
Maria says:
OMG @Sam - I just saw your last comment - am speechless - I can’t believe it - we have definitely converted you to a fully fledged Rob fan. Am so proud - have a tear in my eye!
Jo says:
Maria, the news that I have seen says that Rob will be at the premier in London, after all it’s his home town! (Had to rub that in a bit!)
Maria says:
LMAO @Jo - I knew you would rub that in and that you would confirm that for us. Hmmm you could be our London correspondent!
Melissa says:
I lovvvvved it..he is going to shoot way beyond the Twilight Saga’s and have a really fantastic career..I’ve only seen it once but I plan on seeing it again..But I have this to say:
I think everyone should give cut it out about not seeing the Eclipse trailer, come on, Rob had by the time he was filming this movie lived and breathed Twilight for 12+ months, he deserved to have his first Hollywood feature film free of anything Twilight related, so people weren’t starting off by watching his film thinking “Oh hey, I’m going to see Robert Pattinson, be all over-protective and sparkle”
Give the guy a bit of respect, enjoy every moment of the film, the scenes with Rob , the scenes with Emilie, and even the scenes with Ruby.
Think about how hard cast and crew worked to produce this film , with 20 million fangirls turning up and the same amount of paparazzi, its a wonder the film had any scenes that weren’t messed up by them, so just appreciate the film as it is, don’t worry about not seeing the Eclipse trailer..
Jo says:
Well, I’d love to apart from the fact that I get all my Rob news from you! I’ll gladly send you a report from my viewing of the film though. On the 2nd of APRIL dammit!!
Maria says:
Oh @Mel - well said. Rob doesn’t need Twilight, but Twilight needs Rob and Summit knows that.
tessANZ says:
Hi Pattinsisters!
just came back from session #7 of Remember Me @ 8.30 pm (NZ time) and there were 127 people + Me! crowd getting better as it is Saturday…wonder how the Remember Me Saturday project will do…
people were laughing at the jokes and it was cool. one of the best behaved crowds! i did have to get an usher to get a group of girls at another session from taking photos with their cellphones!! so annoying. i felt a bit bad because they were fans, of course, but they were very annoying and selfish!
oooh, thanks Maria, for my award for “most obsessed”! love it! still sad panda for not being able to bring pressure to bear on NZ cinemas to show Little Ashes though…cool that Rob will be doing commentary on RM, eh? ciao bella!
Nicola says:
i still havent seen it yet ARGHHHHH!!! i cant wait, i havent been able to yet as my hubby has been away and i have 2 young kids, but im hoping that i can go tomorrow nite. fingers crossed. ive been to a few movies in the last couple of months and ive only seen RM advertised ONCE in all of that time, which was probably the last one i went to see about 2 weeks ago, so i think the advertising has been pretty slack, so thats the fault of the movie producers im thinking? maybe they thought all the twi-hard fans would be beating down the doors and there would be no need to advertise. im really looking forward to watching it and will be really pissed if i dont get to see it tomorrow nite! am planning a nite of indulgence, which means pigging out on all the bad stuff while i watch my fave man do his stuff! cant wait to see u rob!! lol! catch ya later girlz!
Cindy says:
Well i have just got in from geelong and my goodness i just cannot really put into words how fan freakin tastic this movie is. Rob you are a talent to be reckoned with darling. And the best thing no TWIHARDS!!! But i told two ladies sitting behind me to visit this site and how fantastic it is.
Addy says:
Maria,
Went again today with a young niece, she said, she like the film but a bit sad. I don’t want to speculate, but I think most fans are not ready to see/accept him as “Tyler” yet. I couldn’t understand the rationale behind this.
I am really baffled, where are the crowds? Where we went, young fans, tweens, etc. are queing up for Alice & H Locker (male & matured audience)
I’ve read an article before that the tracking for RM is not strong. That might be reason they throw in the Eclipse trailer.
Perhaps the countries showing RM later will adopt a different strategy promoting the film.
There’s no question about Rob’s performance attested by a friend who hasn’t seem before.
Tomorrow, I’ll go again with another friend in a different area.
Suze says:
I saw ‘Remember Me’ yesterday. Wow! A poignant film with such a powerful message! I left the theater in tears. Congrats to the cast on their superb performances! The relationship between Tyler & Caroline was especially endearing. It pulled at my heartstrings. I was in awe of Ruby Jerins. Rob was right on the mark…she is a massive actress.
And then there is Rob. His performance blew me away. I am so incredibly proud of him…and I’m so proud to be a fan. Loved the scene with Caroline in the classroom. I wanted to stand up and applaud!
Looking forward to seeing it again today…and tomorrow!
vertigo says:
Loving all the reports guys, I get so excited reading them.
@Vess - it’s amazing when something can affect you that much, even when you think you know what’s coming. It’s the way they translated the good script to the screen and the connections as well as depth of the characters brought forth by the cast – and of course … Rob’s mind blowing performance that drove this flick forward. Don’t worry about those critics who have no idea what they’re talking about when so many people, fans and non fans are moved in this way. From what I’ve seen, the good outweigh the not so.
Hang in there Jo, it’s worth the wait and goodluck for tomorrow night Nicola.
Nice one Mel! They should have waited at least a week before releasing the Eclipse trailer anyway. Let Rob shine.
Touché’Maria! Without Rob, we know where Twilight would be right now.
vertigo says:
@Lids – I think the best way we can do this at the moment is to follow through with what some have already mentioned above. We are calling on our friends and families to see this movie right? I think it would be less stressful than seeing Maria and Michelle stand out on the street with a sandwich board. Not that I doubt the power of their persuasion, but to be fair, those of us who have the freedom to get to the cinema should do what we can. Those without, be it children, funds or distance to travel, no need to stress.
Sonya says:
Hey @Maria I started reading Water for Elephants (the script) and I fell in love with it straight from the first word. I cannot wait to see this movie. It’s going to be fantastic. I feel in in my soul that Rob will get recognition with this movie. I hope it happens earlier with maybe “REMEMBER ME” He truly deserves an OSCAR for this role as it was magnificently portrayed. He is going to be brilliant in Bel Ami (can’t wait) and Water for Elephants is going to blow me away. I cannot wait to finish this script. Thanks also for your explanation on why LA has a soft spot with you. For the rest of you who have been able to watch it more than once I envy you. Can’t wait to own it as I will probable have to buy 2 copies because 1 of them will be worn out from watching the movie over and over again.
sucker4love622 says:
I live in New Jersey, USA and will be seeing it today at 1:45. Love Rob and hope the movie suceeds but I don’t care if nobody else is there because I will be seeing it because I support Rob in everything he does. I think while the initial box office numbers may be low, when word gets out how good it was they will pick up unlike Valentine’s Day which had a strong opening and then died
annie says:
Hey guys,
First off let me say that I’ve been coming to this site since November, when wanting to find out more about a certain Mr Robert Pattinson, having been dragged to both Twilight and New Moon. (and GoF, way back when) So glad I did find this site btw, because he is at least 6 kinds of brilliant. I also want to say thank you ti Michelle and Maria for the site and the wonderful job they are doing. Seriously, cannot thank you two enough.
Went and saw Remember Me tonight and to be honest, I loved it. Robert should be very proud of himself because this film is something else. I took my friend who is a casual fan and she was crying by the end of it and impressed with Robert’s acting (she being undecided on whether or not he could due to Twilight). There was around 20-30 people in my session at around 9pm, which was more than I was expecting.
I’m hoping to take my older sister on Sunday night to see it as she saw the trailer repeatedly at the gym and has a ‘Robert Pattinson fetish’ (her words, not mine, lol!) Hopefully she will be as impressed as the rest of us have been.
Daisy says:
OMG Iguess I wrote in another day but in my city the place was full and I was so happy my husband and I were the first to get there, the movie divine, our Rob whitout words he is so great actor, and I will wach the movie so meny times that probably I will learn word by word by memory. Thanks Michelle for have us inform of every movement of our Rob, you and Maria are the best and the hole world.
Daisy says:
I hope in the USA the movie be better acepted, In am fan of Rob no matter what movie he is my love, not the movie, and ansorry if some time I am not write very well but I am hispanic and some time I do mistakes. But you Michell and Maria are the best Blog and the world for Robert.
tessANZ says:
Hi girls,
Just wanted to say that there was no Eclipse trailer in any of the 7 sessions i attended but, you know, though i was kinda looking forward to it, i reckon it would have contaminated the introduction to the lovely Tyler Hawkins.
really enjoy reading other people’s comments regarding the movie. waiting for the numbers to come in from the box office and award nominations for Robert and Pierce!! ciao bella!
Maria says:
Thanks @sucker4love622 - can’t wait to hear what you think, but I’m sure it will be the same as all of us. I agree it’s not that I want the cinema to be full, but rather for it to be a success for Rob since he’s put his heart and soul into it and I’m really not interested in the world knowing how powerful his fans are because at the end of the day the success is all due to Rob and noone else. I’m not riding on his coat tails - I want him to receive the recognition he so deserves.
kespax says:
Saw it thursday 4pm, about 10 people my friend & I - we both loved it.
Took my sis saturday, 4pm again, maybe a dozen people.
Are 4pm sessions allways this quiet? If so it’a become my new fave time.
My sis is raving about how much she loved Rob’s performance and the whole film.
2nd time - it’s even better, you can feel a kind of undertow, that obviously builds toward the ending.
I’ve seen Twilight so many times and NM lots - and I just look at Rob and turn off, leave during the middle boring wolf bits. It’s really hard to just Rob perve in RM, even if you try hard to turn off the story- what a testament to how good all the acting is, and especially Ruby, Brosnan (I usually avoid his films can’t stand him), and oh Rob is divine.
I get teary but don’t cry, but this film stays with you, made me dream and think a lot over the past few days.
I thought the last sequence was mindblowing.
A poignant beautiful film, and those eyes in glorious technicolour.
I’m going to get workmates to this on cheap tuesday, they all go to the movies every tuesday so I’m pushing this hard.
And plan on taking my 15yr old nephew - young males should see this movie, I think it would mean more to them than anyone else he captures that young guy frustration so, so well.
Maria says:
Oh @Kespax so so true about the young guy’s frustrations captured so well. Good idea about taking your nephew - it will give him something to think about. My experience is that 4pm sessions usually are that quiet - as are 10.30 am and often midday - which is when I went yesterday - more people tend to think about stomachs than brains - haha.
Maria says:
Hi @Addy - I think when you say “fans” not ready to accept - you really mean twifans because I doubt there is a Rob fan out there that doesn’t accept any role he undertakes. Sorry I just don’t want to be bundled in with the twhards because as I said in an earlier comment - they try to lay claim to him but clearly who they love is Edward Cullen and not the man that IS Robert Pattinson. As for the article - well if it’s written by a journo I doubt I would take it seriously. I think Summit understands that the twihards love Eddie and so they have thrown it in the mix in the US to entice them to go and watch Rob. But Summit I will say this until I’m blue in the face - Twilight NEEDS Rob - Rob does NOT need Twilight.
Carmel says:
I saw RM on Fri 10 am with a friend that indulged me and came to see LA with me. There were 5 others, all of grandparent age at that screening.
My friend gave the movie a 4 star rating and said it was fabulous. Of cause, I, being a little more biased, have put on an extra 1/2 star.
I took my 2 teenage daughters to see it on Fri night. They aren’t Rob fans. One of them has a Taylor poster up in her room, so you could say they are Twifans. There were about 30 of us at the night session at the Ritz. All girls and mostly in their late 20’s & 30s. I’m guessing Rob fans.
Both my girls loved the movie. One couldn’t talk on the way home. She just wanted to stay in the moment. The other put it as one of her fav movies of all time.
The lack of promotion in Australia has been disssapointing. The Sat Herald had a disappointing review, saying that Rob did well and he needs a better vehicle than RM to show his talents. The 3 other non Rob fans I have taken to RM have loved the movie on it’s merits alone. So I’m baffled.
I can only guess some reviewers had made up their minds about Rob based on Twilight and are critiquing RM with that in mind. Tall poppy syndrome?
If I can, I will jump at the chance to go see it again. I am already anticipating owning RM on DVD.
Cindy says:
Okay iam going to be a horrilbe person in some peoples eyes i guess but i really do not care if breaking dawn or breaking wind as i call it!!! doesnt get made!! I agree whole heartedly with maria Twlight needs Rob not the other way round.
vertigo says:
Thought I should report, just did coffee with the non-fan and RM is all she could talk about. *sniff*
@Maria - that’s one of the main reasons I live at RPAU. It’s not about you guys or us, it’s all about supoorting Rob and what he deserves. That’s exactly why I want to see more peeps in those cinema seats, then people can experience and recognise the outcomes of Rob’s brilliance. You really can feel how much of himself has gone into this project.
btw, they promoted RM on Sunrise this morning. Showed some clips, tiny interviews with Rob, Emilie and Pierce (separately). Nothing we haven’t seen, but it was a decent size segment.
Sare says:
I’m loving reading everyones reactions. @Kespax its definately a film you can’t just go to perve at rob (although i did sigh everytime he was on screen
) I love movies that stay with you and keep you thinking. RememberMe is one of those movies. Very sleepless night last night!
People have to see this movie. If you only associate rob to twilight *shudders* your opinion on him is limited, as his acting in twilight is definately limited. He has far more to offer and RM is the perfect example of this.
Maria says:
Well @Carmel - I started to read Roger Ebert’s review (he is a well respected movie reviewer) and had to stop reading when he said this “Tyler gets drunk one night, is thrown out of a club”. Okay this isn’t me opening up this forum for discussion about scenes - it’s just me saying - when the hell did that happen? I’ve seen the movie twice - I didn’t see him get thrown out of a club. So if this is coming from a respected movie reviewer I beg to ask - Roger did you REALLY watch the movie - or did you use cheat sheets/monarch notes or whatever they are called now to review this film.
Certain people in the media have a preconceived idea of what Rob is about because he unwittingly became a phenomenon due to Edward Cullen. Rob’s never been about mass appeal I don’t think. I really believe he wouldn’t care either way if he became famous or not - well to the extent that he has. Anyway sorry that’s obviously discussion for a different thread. My point is that the people who have given him bad reviews clearly had not left their bias at the door. So I take film reviews as a grain of salt and that’s why we don’t post a lot of them on the site. Sure we will post some positive because that’s what we are about, but the negative - enjoying a movie is a personal choice. Hell I know that because people raved about The Hangover and I still fail to find that film THAT funny.
Maria says:
@Vertigo - did they? Are you kidding me - I tweeted Sunrise last night and asked them to promote - haha - coincidence?????
Carmel says:
I forgot to mention something: The NM midnight screening was naturally booked out at my local cinema when we went, but I went again the next day and that was a private screening except one other person. I’m hoping word and mouth will see RM numbers rise through the coming weeks. The film deserves better.
vertigo says:
Another thing that was pointed out to me today - and please do not open debate on this I’m just sharing ok.
My non-fan said that it could be possible that a majority of twi fans aren’t ready to see their beloved Edward be with anyone else but Bella.
I loved Emilie in this and their chemistry was outstanding!
Maria says:
Hear hear @Vertigo - no debate, but I will say this because I’m co-owner and again - pls don’t debate this. There is more chemistry between Tyler and Caroline that I’ve ever seen between Eddie and Bella and yes I believe there is just as much if not better chemistry between Rob and Emilie. At least Emilie is an adult whenever they are being interviewed together because I still have not forgiven the incident that happened at Comicon last year where Rob was talked over and the childish behaviour of his costar was just unforgiveable.
vertigo says:
Exactly Maria!
Sare says:
@vertigo ooooh good point.
@Maria are you u sure you just tweeted them and didnt threaten to unleash a full blown Maria wrath? *snickers*
By the way Id help you! and vertgio and LL would too
Maria says:
@Sare *giggles*
vertigo says:
it’s true Sare - Maria had me fire up the torches last night.
Michelle says:
That is exactly right Maria & Vertigo. Everything we do here is about Rob & always will be. It’s not about us. We don’t want credit for anything, all we want is to see Rob receive the recognition & support that he so truly deserves. Rob’s performance in this film is brilliant, he truly invested so much of himself in this movie & it definitely shows in his performance.
That is fantastic that Sunrise showed some clips. LOL, coincidence??? indeed Maria.
I was the same Sare the night I saw RM. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, it was all I thought about the ride home & beyond & I am still thinking about it. As I have said in my previous comments, it is a film that will stay with me forever & I truly mean that. Films like that don’t come along too often & that is one of the many many reasons why RM is so special.
Agree with you completely Vertigo re: Rob & Emilie’s chemistry. I thought they were amazing together, their relationship felt so real. Nothing fake at all, just so natural - I believed every word.
lise-lou says:
I bet Maria’s tweet went something like this “Dear Sunrise you better promote Rob in Remember Me or I am goinna unleash a whole can of whoop arse!” LMAO!!
I saw the segment too this morning on Sunrise it was their Movie Of the Week and was a great segment :). Funny when introducing it they said …”his (Robert Pattinson’s) latest project the low key Remember Me”. Well low key beause it doesn’t have the marketing and promotion behind it that the Twi Movies do but you know I am beginning to feel ok about the lack of promotion, might remove a lot of the crazies. I get such a thrill know looking at the smiles Rob has on his face at the premiere and during the press junket. No wonder he was smiling so much he knows he did good and I hope he is as proud of himself as we all are
Maria says:
LOL @Lise-Lou - actually i remain low key when it comes to Sunrise since I used to work with Andrew O’Keefe. My tweet actually went “@sunriseon7 how about promoting Rob Pattinson’s new film #Remember Me - can you tweet that?” So actually doing a spot on TV is more than I expected.
lise-lou says:
Awesome work Maria
vertigo says:
LOL Maria, hence Sunrise already had the fear.
Yeah Lisa, it will be interesting to see who is left standing once BD is behind Rob. He is paving his own path and I can’t wait to see what Rob comes up with next.
annie says:
Going again tonight with my older sister. Just checked the Bondi session and the 6:50 is very, VERY full. Very pleased to see.
Michelle says:
Thanks Annie, so wonderful to hear that
Sare says:
@M&M do you think it will still be showing on April 10th? Thats the only time i can get to a hoyts cinema. Ohhhh it better be otherwise i will abso-freakin-lutely lose my mind!
Maria says:
Is that for your pass? Hoyts Distribution told me that they can be used at any of the Hoyts, Greater Union, Village or BC&C cinemas that are screening it. Hopefully it still will be, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it isn’t seeing as they often pull movies given how many come out these days. I like the goodl old days when only 1 cinema showed it and it stayed on for months and months - haha - like Star Wars that was on for something like 2 years.
lise-lou says:
Just got back from my 3rd viewing and the movie still takes my breath away even more than the first time! And yes I still bawled like a baby!
Only about 15 people there but I think maybe the promotion in Australia is a bit slow…we had the awesome segement on Sunrise this morning and my local newspaper had a lift out which gave the film a good review and an article on Rob (as well as the cover). I went to a different cinema and woohoo there was a poster up this time and went with 2 different friends who are now converted they loved the movie and thought Rob was amazing (so they can stay on my xmas card list!).
His performance is just incredible and I am completely in love with this movie. So when can we go again? LOL
Kaz says:
Was very disappointed that Village Cinemas in Launceston were not showing this film, can you believe it??? So drove all the way to Devonport to see it, and would happily do so again. Loved it, loved it, loved it.
Michelle says:
Hi Kaz, I am in Launceston too & am so angry & disappointed that our Village is not showing RM. I just cannot comprehend why they are NOT showing it. I have rang them several times to complain as well as emailing Village head office but they have just given me the standard excuses. Did you ring them at all? They said they may screen at a later date but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Launceston sucks, it really does. I did the same as you, drove all the way to Devonport to see the film & will definitely be making the trip again
Would do so everyday if I could lol. So nice to see some more L’ton fans on here. Fingers crossed Village come to their senses & realise that YES we do want to see Rob’s films here. Why they would think we wouldn’t I will never ever know.
Kaz says:
Hi Michelle, yes, I called them too, and got the same excuses you did. Glad I went to Devonport though - they actually have a really nice cinema there, infact, may make the trip there to see all movies in future
Michelle says:
Yep that is so true Kez, their cinema is SO much better than ours. Saying the L’ton one is crap is being kind LOL. Only thing was the sound was a bit bad at the screening I went to which was very annoying but in fairness it is the first time that has ever happened when I have been there
They were just doing it to ‘tease me’ I am sure LOL.
Carmel says:
Maybe the Aussie media could get behind RM because of the Emily connection? She also did a fantastic job. Anything that helps.

I enjoyed RM a great deal. Can’t understand the lack of patronage at 6.50pm on a Saturday. I hope to go again and fingers crossed word of mouth and a few more positive reviews will get the crowds in. For the life of me I can’t understand those fans who only see Rob as Edward. The camera loves Rob and his true beauty and talent is a joy to behold.
Nicola says:
AWESOME.

So just came back from the film, and mys sister cannot stop talking about it. Not only was she impressed with Robert’s performance, but she was crying by the end of it and said the film had a profound effect on her.
Olivia says:
I’ve only seen it once, but I’m planning to see it again very soon. Completely loved it! I cried so much in the end… and when Tyler yelled at his dad
Maria says:
@Annie - that seems to be the general consensus and why this film needs to be promoted. It’s not only about introducing new people to Rob, but also this film deserves to be seen.
Anna says:
havent seen it yet
am down with a bad cold and i cant get out of the house…
and probably am going to see it next weekend
cause during the week am too busy
here in GR i think RM is promoted well enough on the radio and on almost all greek cinema sites and most audience’s reviews are preety good(4.5*).and many non-fans were satisfied.
i want more than anything rob’s career to be promoted.he totally deserves it.

Hi Everyone,
136 comments - whoa! My local cinema is not screening until the 17th, so have been wanting to go further a field to Hoyts or Reading before then (hopefully 2morrow - school hrs for me).
I had a great feeling about this film ages ago, but with all the super comments I am really busting to go now.
Little Ashes is my fave, but just got to see How to Be on the weekend (on the DVD extras Rob is just so normal - love him for it)!
Karen says:
I have seen RM twice…. awesome movie… so much more than I hoped for. It has everything..romance, drama, violence, relationships and it is such a beautiful story played out by an ensemble of terrific actors. I would recommend it to anyone. Any wonder Rob is so proud of it… I think it is his greatest performance yet.
Promotion…what promotion? I have been looking out for this for weeks… the week before it started my local cinema didn’t even have it listed as coming soon and the promotional poster only went up the day before…. I am still waiting to hear their explanation. Needless to say there were 3 people at the first screening and only about 30 on Saturday night.
It is a shame that this movie won’t get the credit it deserves. Hopefully the word will spread!
